Need help to control broadcast

Hi,

I am using Dell Powerconnect 5324, I want to configure my switch to control the broadcast, When I tried to check broadcast on default settings at port g1 its controlling the broadcast but it's downing all port instead of g1 only, and sometimes it goes to hang. Can you guys help me out to control the broadcast and down the same port only when the port is facing the broadcast suspend or down both can help me but it should not shut the whole switch ports.
